PZPM continues the activities initiated before the elections at the government and parliamentary levels. Before the elections, together with the Association of Car Dealers, we conducted a campaign consisting of sending questions to all election committees regarding the approach to the most important problems of the industry after the elections.
The questions concerned the Polish automotive market and the conditions that should be ensured for further, stable development of the industry. First, we addressed transport and its future. Industry representatives asked current or future governments how they intend to protect Poland's position as the leader of the TSL industry in Europe. The question was asked in the context of upcoming requirements to reduce emissions. There was also a question about the effects of the energy crisis affecting the automotive industry in our country, and what tools should be proposed to ensure energy security and facilitate the decarbonization process for producers located in Poland.
The most important question for hundreds of small and medium-sized entrepreneurs concerned the recently increasingly loud topic of technical inspection fees that have not been updated for nearly 20 years and the limitation of the gray zone in the field of post-accident repairs and vehicle scrapping. We also asked whether the new government intends to protect citizens' access to individual mobility, i.e. the right to own and drive a car. In public space, especially in large cities, we increasingly encounter trends encouraging people to move away from cars as a means of communication. The industry does not fully agree with this approach, because most of the services that make cities "live" are due to individual mobility. We are still waiting for the answers.
