The heads of the E-Transport Coalition talk with Minister I. Zyska, Government Plenipotentiary for Renewable Energy Sources

The purpose of the first meeting was to familiarize the Minister with the work of the Coalition and its activities to support and promote the development of zero-emission heavy transport. Incentive systems have been indicated as the key ones - subsidies for the purchase of vehicles and no e-toll fees, as well as the construction of a network of high-power chargers adapted to the needs of heavy transport.

The Minister was informed about the leading role currently played by Polish transport companies in Europe and about the need to support this important sector in the process of decarbonization and transformation to zero-emission drives. The industry's expectations regarding the support for the implementation of zero-emission technologies in transport and the creation of a friendly ecosystem necessary for their dissemination were also communicated, works and discussions at the level of EU bodies - including the European Commission's proposal regarding the reduction of CO2 levels for heavy vehicles - HDV and buses and the position of the automotive industry, which assumes that the transformation to zero-emission mobility should be accompanied by the principle of the so-called technological neutrality. The President of PZPM informed the minister about the European Commission's proposal to reduce CO2 emissions from HDV trucks and buses and the reduction targets.
